This 12" x 12" fine art giclee print was made from an original mixed media on canvas using collage, watercolor, and ink. This is an interpretation of the third chakra. According to Wikipedia, "Located at the navel or just above at the solar plexus, the third chakra is called Manipura, the "City of Jewels" (Mani - gem, Pura or Puri - city). Frequently associated with the color yellow, ... this chakra is associated with fire and the power of transformation. It is said to govern digestion and metabolism as the home of agni and the vital wind samana vayu. It is also the point where the energies of prana vayu and apana vayu (inward and outward flowing energy) meet in a balanced system. It is notably the home of coeliac plexus which innervates most of the digestive system. In chakra based medicine this area is worked with to affect healthier digestion, elimination, pancreas kidney and adrenal function. Weak agni (fire) here leads to incompletely digested food, thoughts and emotions and is a source of ama (toxicity)." (footnotes and other notes omitted)

Prints are done by the artist at her home on an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 using Epson UltraChromeK3 archival inks on Epson Ultra Premium Presentation or Cold Press Bright Paper. The print is open edition, hand signed by the artist. It comes with cardboard backing and in a protective cellophane bag. The print has a small white border for framing, with or without matting. The watermark will not appear on the print.
